Emily Stone Rydbom is a certified nutrition consultant, board-certified holistic nutritionist, and certified nutrition professional. She worked in clinical family practice for over a decade, is a published researcher and international educator who has been on the leading edge of applied personalized nutrition since 2010. She is most widely known for her groundbreaking work in the improvement of transgenerational health as the founder and CEO of GrowBaby Health and the GrowBaby Life Project (501c3) research. A key focus of her work, advocacy, and research over the last decade has been empowering women and couples during the preconception, pregnancy, and postnatal time period and teaching families about healthy nutrition and lifestyle balance from six months through five years and beyond. In recent years, this focus has expanded to include the implications of the oral microbiome and periodontal disease to conception and healthy pregnancy. She is the co-creator of a first-of-its-kind genetic test in partnership with DNALife. The GrowBaby genomic assay tests 42 SNPs and 27 genes, in 11 key biological areas associated with maternal health and fetal health outcomes emphasizing the modifiable aspects of host/environment personalized genomics. This test is sold all over the world. She has co-developed prenatal formulations with one currently available worldwide and works as an independent consultant for multiple well-reputed nutraceutical companies. Emily was a principal investigator in the peer-reviewed published study, Customized Nutritional Enhancement for pregnant women appears to Lower Incidence of certain common maternal and neonatal complications: an observational study (2014), and is the principal investigator in an ongoing project registered through clinical trials, Select Nutrient and Gene Variant Analysis in a Targeted Diet and Lifestyle Intervention Reduces Preterm Birth (SNGLI-PTB) applied in partnership with a Molina Healthcare, a major national Medicaid Care Organization in a 100% OB Medicaid population in the state of Nevada. She completed her undergraduate degree at Southern Oregon University, followed by her postgraduate training at Bauman College, Berkeley, California, and is a member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals. She is proceeding toward her MPH in public health with an emphasis on community health education.
